Dive into the full Q&A with Kate Wareham, VP Partnerships APAC at Shopnomix.
Can you tell us a bit about Shopnomix and how it started, and for those who might not know you yet, what makes Shopnomix unique in the affiliate landscape?
Shopnomix, a Nomix Group company, is focused on reshaping the way digital commerce works by driving incremental online conversions through unique supply channels. We operate through Appnomix for mobile commerce infrastructure, Fanomix for AI video content creation, Pronomix for RTB and Creatornomix for social commerce, alongside direct integrations with third-party suppliers such as browsers, OEMs, telecom groups, ISPs and a vast network of content publishers. Our merchant partners typically do not target these specific channels individually, as they may be small, but collectively they offer significant untapped, incremental potential. These channels are either unique to us or not easily accessible, which allows Shopnomix to deliver conversions that are often incremental to what in-house teams can achieve. In 2024, Shopnomix facilitated over $2.5 billion in GMV across 50,000 retail partners, including some of the world's largest retailers like Amazon, Booking.com, Walmart, Target, Nike, Samsung, Expedia and Kayak. This was achieved purely on a CPA basis, ensuring that our partners benefit from performance-based results.
Who’s your main audience, and what types of brands or campaigns tend to resonate most?
Shopnomix reaches a diverse consumer audience, which is roughly evenly divided between men and women aged 18-54, with an average household income exceeding $100K. The platform excels in e-commerce settings, particularly targeting users with high purchase intent. Key verticals like travel, electronics and apparel are rapidly growing as Shopnomix continues to expand its reach.
Shopnomix's unique value proposition lies in its ability to intercept user intentions before they engage with traditional search engines, leveraging high-intent traffic from various non-traditional digital channels. This ensures the conversions they deliver often represent incremental growth over what internal teams typically manage on their own.
How would you describe the way you like to work with brands and agencies like ND Agency?
I intend to work intelligently, openly and collaboratively with brands and agencies to establish long-term partnerships.
We also have a mature established network of publishers outside of APAC so Shopnomix is the perfect partner to help drive incremental growth for ANZ brands expanding into the US & Europe.
Have you noticed any new shopping trends or consumer behaviours emerging lately?
AI is reshaping every industry. Depending on the report you read, somewhere between $80BN-$200BN USD will move from traditional search to Gen AI in the next 12-24 months.
Shopnomix is actively adapting to the affiliate landscape by leveraging its partnership with Affiliate.com to enhance AI-driven commerce capabilities. This collaboration integrates Affiliate.com's extensive product discovery technology with Shopnomix's monetization engine to create a tailored solution for AI-driven platforms. This partnership allows for instant AI monetization by providing access to a massive, structured product dataset, facilitating global commerce activation.
Furthermore, Shopnomix has established a strategic partnership with Affiliate.com that equips Gen-AI agents with a detailed, searchable corpus of product data sourced from around 50,000 merchants. This vast dataset includes over 1 billion product SKUs and 30 billion data points, supporting comprehensive responses to shopping-related queries and enabling follow-on questions that boost engagement and foster user trust. As AI commerce expands rapidly, Shopnomix processes around 3 billion monthly queries through its partners, illustrating the significant impact and potential of this evolving landscape.
How is Shopnomix adapting to changes in the affiliate landscape?
Shopnomix is strategically adapting to the changing affiliate landscape by viewing influencers as a new breed of publishers. This perspective enables us to leverage the power of creators to engage deeply with audiences. Through our sister divisions Fanomix and Creatornomix, along with a crucial partnership with Creator.co, Shopnomix focuses on harnessing this exciting new frontier of content-driven commerce.
The partnership with Creator.co is pivotal, as it marries Shopnomix’s powerful monetization infrastructure with Creator.co’s robust content engine. This collaboration is fostering a new marketplace where every piece of content has the potential to drive measurable transactions. By uniting these platforms, Shopnomix can efficiently tap into the vast creator economy, which includes a network of 400 million influencers.
This strategic direction not only aligns Shopnomix with the modern trends where AI and content creation intersect but also ensures we're well-positioned to amplify social commerce opportunities significantly for our brand and agency partners.
What do you think brands should do differently to get the most from affiliate and partnership channels?
If anyone knows me, I am always asking questions and I think this is the key for brands too. They need to work closely with their agency and publisher contacts to really understand the opportunity and be fearless with their decisions. Lean on the expertise of the team at agencies like ND Agency and trust their decisions. Go on, Question the norm - rather than just sticking with what you know.
What’s next for Shopnomix?
Shopnomix ‘next’ is already happening. As our founder and Nomix’s Group CEO, Colin Jeavons is a futurist that has been working with AI for 15 years. As a result we are already working on new business units and partnerships to adapt to the rapidly changing e-commerce environment. For example, enter Shopnomix’s recent collaboration with Creator.co. Shopnomix will power Creator.co’s conversion engine, connecting access to more than 50,000 brands and performance-based offers to the world’s largest creator database of 400 million influencers. The combined platform creates an unmatched foundation for scaling creator-led commerce worldwide.
Are there any new features, verticals, or innovations you’re excited about?
The Nomix Group has been born out of new innovations and features and will continue to evolve as we respond to the ever evolving e-commerce market. I am excited about them all!
If Shopnomix were a person, how would you describe their personality?
They would be the kind of partner you’d grab coffee with to talk strategy — and actually leave with ideas you can use. Smart, intelligent and genuinely curious, they know their stuff but keep it real. You trust them because they’re transparent, innovative, and focused on helping you grow in ways that make sense for your business.
What advice would you share with brands joining ND Agency’s affiliate portfolio for how to get the most out of partnerships with publishers like you?
Continue to recognise the value of long-term collaboration. The best results come from data-informed, consistent partnerships. Not one-off campaigns. Investing in ongoing optimisation and relationship-building turns OK ROI into great ROI.
